The December 2025 proof run has been released and confirms continued progress in accuracy and reliability, driven by the expansion of the reference population. Genetic evaluation models remain unchanged since August; however, thousands of new genotypes and phenotypic records have been added, further improving the precision of genomic breeding values.
More than 300,000 Norwegian Red animals have now been genotyped, creating one of the most comprehensive reference populations in dairy breeding. This ensures that genomic predictions for Norwegian Red remain highly accurate and unbiased, giving farmers confidence in their selection decisions.
